The Defender Guard app ( available on iOS and Android) is quick to load a live view of the camera feed, and it’s easy to navigate. But when I moved the camera to a busier spot with trees and bushes in view, I had to adjust the detection area and reduce the sensitivity to prevent frequent false positives from the vegetation swaying in the wind. I first tried the camera on a low-traffic side path, and I was impressed to find the cats didn’t trigger it.
There’s also a toggle for human detection to limit alerts to people. Alerts came through quickly and reliably in my testing.
You can set a precise detection area with a grid system and tweak the sensitivity. The camera can detect motion, a feature that works fairly well.
